Another in a long line of trailers is now out for Call of Duty: World at War, this one highlighting the multiplayer versus modes that are sure to be the glory of many. So far, CoD4 has some of the best console multiplayer I’ve yet experienced in this generations. I’m curious how this one stacks up, though something tells me it’ll be pretty sweel at as well. Thoughts?

Im way more impressed by this than COD4…seriously, it looks better, and the gameplay looks like its going to be just as fun, with more to it now.
I got and am still getting an early glimpse at World at War’s mutliplayer, and it’s great. Sure, the beta has a the usual BETA problems – annoying respawn placements, a glitch when trying to knife a dog, and you can “get below the floor” in Roundhouse – which will hopefully – correction, MUST – be attended to.
Anyway, World at War is at the very least as good as CoD4, and I like to think it’s better. I think this game is really the culmination of the series because it’s in the classic WWII setting, plus adds CoD4 stuff like perks and weapon attachments and such, takes place in two very different environments – Berlin and the Pacific Theatre – and adds some more stuff on top of it all.
That’s why I’m psyched for World at War.
I’ll echo Cossack69’s sentiments: as far as impressions from the beta, it’s looking pretty great so far. I know it’s been said by others, but it’s almost hard to believe there was a change of developers…the depth of similarity to CoD4 makes it seem much more like a continuation of Infinity Ward’s work than I was expecting. And that’s definitely not a bad thing. I’m anxious to see how the single player campaign turns out…
