Lord of the Rings: Conquest is a game much like Star Wars: Battlefront, only in the LOTR universe that we know and love from J.R.R. Tolkien. It’s coming out in early January 2009, and features a bunch of multiplayer options to place you and some other dudes in the shoes of hobbits, elves, orcs and apparently, much bigger foes.
I got to have some hands-on time with this game at PAX, and it was pretty enjoyable even at those earlier stages. It reminded me a lot of Battlefront, and that’s never a bad thing. Check out the trailer. Anyone interested?
Yawn. Too late in my opinion. This game would have been cool as a simultaneous release alongside Return of the King, but now it just seems a little dated.
Besides, it looks like a semi-upgraded Battlefront 2 engine(which it probably is).
Sorry to anyone who’s on the hype train for this game, it just seems a little lackluster.
Well, sorry to be contrary, but I am pumped.
Battlefront was awesome and now with better online play, this game could be even better. Count me in!
Looks epic. Good old fashion blade to blade combat? Count me in too.
