PS3 Games to Watch Out For

ps3In terms of games, the last couple of years have belonged to Microsoft, with just a few exceptions for both Nintendo and Sony. The slew of games for the 360 since 2007 seems to have finally slowed though, and we’ve gobbled up the bevy of FPS games til our eyes have turned red. Now that the 360 doesn’t seem to have much on its plate, this could easily be Sony’s year, and it’s about time.

Edge Online has put together a list of the 10 most anticipated PS3 games for 2009, and I have to say, I’m excited to be a PS3 owner. There are more exclusive games coming out than I realized, and who knows, maybe Sony gets its groove back after all.

  3. I’d be pretty darn excited for Heavy Rain, Uncharted 2, and GoW 3…if I had a PS3. Feeling grumpy now.

  4. YAY! Sony have finally got their shit together! I hope Insomniac are still rotating their Resistance/Rachet and Clank releases. Quark (and RYNO) should make my year of gaming complete.

  5. 3 on that list that I will add to my PS3 imaginary wish list, I always told my self that if it gets to the point where there are 25 games I want on the PS3 or 360 I would buy them (and the consoles of course)

    So, and MMO for a console? Interesting to be sure, but it’d be nice to have a name to put to it. And a more specific genre. Even so, that’s something I’ll be looking out for.

    By the time you get 25 on either system it will be near the end of the console.

  11. Nick has a point, 8 games and 11 games is enough. Start buying and playing before you get old and have no time like me.

    not lame, but it is kinda sparse. I always looked at it like 2008 was the 360’s year, but past that, I didn’t see anything worth getting excited for. Maybe they will surprise us.

  13. Oh, well obviously 2007,lol. Thats why I didn’t include it, plus I made that observation to myself around March of 2008, so…lol.

  15. Yeah, you should have seen me last Feb. My fiancee was going to get me one of them for my bday and I told her a ps3, then no, I want a Wii, then finally a PS3.

    Good decision. Glad I made it. But she likes the Wii, so I am trying to get one for her.

    And that’s the idea to wait till the end of the console…cheaper.

    They aren’t exactly burning wants anyway, just games I would like to check out.
