The Fall gaming season is upon us! That’s right, the time of year that we all wait for without much patience, reacting to every bit of news and feasting upon new gameplay videos. I really truly hunger for this season each and every year, and the new experiences that lie in wait inside disc-shaped treasures. New video games. Does it get any better?
While I believe we’ve asked this question in months past, things always seem to change at the last minute as more information comes out and we get to see some more gameplay, or even read reviews. So I’ll ask it again: what games are you going to purchase over the next few months?
For me, I’m going to be picking up Dragon Age: Origins and Modern Warfare 2 for sure, having already partaken in the fun Firefights of Halo 3: ODST and the melodious harmonies of Beatles Rock Band. Recently added to my list is Uncharted 2, which has received some resounding praise that I just can not ignore any longer. I’ve also removed Borderlands from my list, as I’ve read a few “meh” assessments of its fun factor.
What about you guys? What kind of budget are you looking at? What games are you on the fence about? What are you for sure purchasing? Go!
Uncharted 2 is more anticipated by me than ANY other game, yeah, even MW2 (I’ve pre-ordered the Hardened Edition) 🙂 and AC2 is on there aswel, throw in R&CF:ACiT and I’ve stated what will probably be my Christmas list. So in reality I might get Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising if I like it (my friend has been going on and on about it) and the re-release of God of War 1&2. I loved the 1st one and never played the second so this will (hopefully) get some play time before God of War 3.
definately modern warfare 2, dont have money for any more 🙁
ODST and Batman (Already have)
Brutal Legend
Modern Warfare 2
Assassin’s Creed 2
Left 4 Dead 2 (Same day as AC2!)
Thank God games were moved to next year, or I would have to take out a loan.
Eddy and I are on the same page:
Uncharted 2
Modern Warfare 2
Dragon Age.
Can’t wait!
MW2
Uncharted 2
on the fence about DA: Origins
Well I just bought an Xbox (that broke the first time I turned it on 🙁 )
Luckily all my friends are lending me games to try out.
I already have to get through Halo 3, BF:Bad Company, Fable 2 and Gears of War so I will be buying games but probably won’t get to play them till February!
I got ODST on launch date, and i’m waiting for October 13th for Fallout 3 GOTY Edition for the DLC packs. No, I don’t own Fallout 3, I borrowed it from a friend for quite a while, but don’t wan’t to shell out 50 bucks for DLC packs for a game I don’t already own.
While i’m interested in getting other games, i’ve got no money to be spending on them so I have to ignore them for the time being. Sadness. 🙁
Here we go:
1.) Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Hardened Edition (already preordered)
2.) One-Year of Xbox Live
3.) Forza 3
4.) Mad Cats throat mic IF and ONLY IF the reviews are good
“Modern Warfare 2 Throat Communicator (Xbox 360)
The MW2 Throat Communicator’s design is taken directly from military designs and reduces background noise by providing direct contact communication. Additionally, the Throat Communicator will finish authentic graphics and will be fully compatible with the Xbox 360 controller and the Combat Controller from Mad Catz.
The Throat Communicator will have an MSRP of $29.99.”
All in all, roughly $230
Modern Warfare 2 (Omgasm.)
Assassin’s Creed 2
Left 4 Dead 2
Battlefield Bad Company 2
The Second Two 2: The Sequel
I also love the Fall season for its hype. I just love waiting for and attacking like a rapid fan new gameplay videos and info about features in the games I’m psyched for. In a strange way, waiting for a game you’re hyped-up about is more like guaranteed fun, while the game when it comes may or may not disappoint you, which is never fun.
