We’re on the precipice of the holiday gaming rush with Halo: Reach leading the charge in about two months, so I thought I would whip up a quick poll and find out what your current favorite for 2010 is. We’ve had a really excellent first half of the year, and just making this poll made my brain light afire with all the great experiences I’ve had so far. Whether I was pressing X to “Jaaason” or rising my horse across the dusty wasteland, 2010 has given me some of the most outstanding gaming moments of recent memory, and if the fall is any indication, the hits are going to keep on coming. I always hate how games that are still very popular but came out more than a year ago aren’t included in game of the year type stuff…
Sylux, the poll is designed specifically to ask what people’s favorite game that came out in 2010 is. By all means, feel free to state what your favorite game of the moment is, but that’s not what this poll’s being based on 🙂
Red Dead Redemption gets my vote so far, edging out over Mass Effect 2 by the sheer fact that I can’t stop playing the game, whereas I was done with ME2 after just one playthrough.
Heavy Rain blew me away, but my vote has to go to ME2 as it hit me as the perfect out-of-the-box sequel that built wonderfully on ME. That, and the fact that the only things I could think of adding are ‘nit-picks’ to do with parts of the game, means that ME2 was a complete package in my books.
It may be sad to read, but the only game I’ve played off that list is Battlefield 2. I know it won’t win game of the year (Except for possibly in the multiplayer category), but it is a great great game.
I knooow it said “so Far” But I’m waiting for Mafia II and Dues Ex 3! :D.

Mass Effect 2. Im the oppposite of Eddy, the other contender was RDR but i havent been to excited to play it whereas ME2 i get excited just thinking about it.

Yeah its just me subconsciously wanting more game of the decade type stuff since all that happened recently I suppose.
Mass Effect 2 easily for me, though I am yet to play Red Dead. BC2 and Heavy Rain are close second and third.
Out of curiosity where’s the option for Other? There’s always one person who’ll need it!
Heavy Rain gets my vote. Just what I wanted. Cannot wait to see David Cage’s next project.

I didnt play many on the list, But going with Splinter Cell. Honestly I would bet Heavy Rain or RDR would win out. Never played the Mass Effect series so I know Im missing out.
