GamerSushi Votes 2011: Best Multiplayer

What up friends and gamers and welcome to a new yearly feature here at GamerSushi. We’re going to be trying something different this year by letting you, the community, weigh in on the always fun “best of the year” lists via some voting. We all love practicing our democratic rights (while we still have them, anyways) and these sorts of topics always make for great discussions.

To kick it off, we’re going to be talking the best multiplayer of the year, also known as the “Battle of the Threes”. There are a lot of great candidates and I can’t wait to see which way this leans. Get your vote on!

  1. SKYRIM, lol who needs multiplayer 🙂 but seriously I think battlefield 3 or red orchestra 2 were my favourites.

  2. I put BF3 as my choice, really good fun on PC and quite fun on consoles. Haven’t played any of the other though ¬_¬ Stupid lack of money.

  3. Hands down Gears 3. I have had a hell of a time and will continue to do so in it, it just has an unprecedented level of polish that no other game this year had and the gameplay is just so smooth. Epic really nailed it on the head with this one.

  4. Overall best for me was Gears. Online Coop Campaign/Horde/Beast along side Versus where every weekend is a new event really made the game an easy choice in my eyes.

If your looking for an FPS… Battlefield if your buddies are on, Call of Duty if you feel like playing a few matches alone.

  5. I almost went with BF3 (mostly because of Back to Karkand and how playable colorblind mode makes the game) but you can’t beat Gears 3. This time around it’s fun by yourself and it takes on a whole new level of bad-ass when you’re rolling with a stacked team.

  6. BF3 hands down.
    Reasons:
    – MW3: Yeah, original.
    – Gears 3: I pretty much have the same experience from horde mode with Killing Floor. I’m not dissing it, but I don’t find it enjoyable when I have other game with the same kind of dinamyc.
    – Uncharted 3: Haven’t played it :C
    – Battlefield 3: Ramming your jet against a tank defending a flag, jump off and detonate the C4 you planted beforehand eliminating any other nearby threats, then getting your squad to spawn on you and winning the game. Battlefield moments are priceless.

  7. For me it’s a toss-up between Saints Row: The Third and Serious Sam 3. Both have ridiculously fun co-op that kept me occupied for days longer than any other games this year got close to doing.

  8. Gonna have to give my vote to either MW:3 (even though it’s more of the same, I still think COD is well executed in the multiplayer), Shogun 2: Total War (totally kick ass battle versus, plus multiplayer campaigns. Love love loved it), and Mortal Kombat. Simply because that game needed a mention.

I agree. I still have to pull myself away from MW 3 in order to play other games.
