We skipped our poll for January because there was nothing really noteworthy coming out until the 31st, so I am actually going to include the releases for the 31st in this month’s poll. I hope everyone is okay with this, but if not, you always have the option of making your own website and your own set of rules regarding the calendar.
2011 is gone and the games that it brought were almost unparalleled in terms of quality. 2012 has a lot to live up to, but I think the first few months are up to the challenge. We have sequels galore, HD reissues and maybe even a new IP or two. Check out the poll below and let us know what February release is the one you are looking forward to the most. Mine? Do you even need to ask? It’s Final Fantasy XIII-2, although Twisted Metal is a close second. Hit the poll and hit the comments!
It’s a toss up between Amalur and Syndicate, but without a demo to try out my vote goes to Reckoning.
Quite a few games releasing in February, I had no idea. Wow, my wallet started perspiring. Is that normal?

You aren’t kidding. Before any reviews are out (meaning without any surprises) I have one game a month I am pumped about through April.
I don’t know what happens in May, but I’m scared.
Kingdoms of Amalur. Everything I’ve seen so far looks great. Still have to try the demo yet though
I voted Twisted Metal just because it’s been so long since I’ve played anything from that franchise and I’d love to have some more absurd vehicle carnage!
I voted Soul Calibur V, but it could have been FFXIII-2. I liked the first game a lot, so I’m excited for this one.
Also, I downloaded the Amalur demo, but I had to pause during the opening cinematic and afterwards I only had a black screen with sound, so I’ll have to try again today. Hopefully the game itself is interesting and engaging, because the story and cinematic seemed cliche. Still want to try it, but the limited experience I had with it didn’t excite me.
I’m really trying to hold off on buying games now. For now, I’m still playing Skyrim. 90 hours and I have yet to put the Dah in Fus Ro Dah.
AND HEY SINCE SOPA IS DONE, I CAN JUST PIRATE EVERYTHING ANYWAY, RIGHT?
Dear Esther. WHY WON’T THEY TAKE MY MONEY NOW!?
Resident Evil Revelations. My 3DS only has 2 games and none of them involve guns! O_O How am I a hardcore gamer without guns!?
I was going with none til Trogador reminded me that Dear Esther is coming out. I messed around with the alpha a while back, and I’m psyched to see where they’ve taken it from there.
I second the Dear Esther comment.
Hadn’t even heard of Dear Esther until I saw these comments. Checked it out, and now I want it.
