I’ve always loved the Winter Break. So much time for the things that really matter. You know what I mean. Family, friends and games. I think it’s fairly safe to assume that the majority of us are either enjoying blissful freedom for gaming time already, or we are just on the verge of it (I fall into this latter category).
Since so many of us will have more time than normal to play through some piled up stacks of game discs, I thought I’d take the time to find out what all you guys are playing through. It’s been no secret that this Fall has blasted us in the mouth with a cannon full of titles, and I’d like to say that we all took it like men.
Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll be doing my best to finish Fable II, Prince of Persia, Fallout 3 and Chrono Trigger on the DS. I know that I won’t come anywhere close to doing all of that, but a man’s got to dream, doesn’t he?

At least, that’s what analyst Colin Sebastian is predicting with his apparently magnificent prophesying abilities. In a report to investors, this dude listed a bunch of games up for release this year, and included the mention of a new Zelda title. 
Wow. This is one of those things that I never thought I’d say out loud in my lifetime. EA learned their lesson. They have seen the grievous error of their ways, and have thus repented. How does one know this, you ask? Well, there is a simple answer.
It’s finally the week of Christmas, and I’m really not sure how that happened. Last I checked, it was like November or something, but here we are, and I’ve now time traveled into the future. Seeing as how it’s that time of the year, I’m almost certain that by the end of the week I’m going to have added some games to my collection, as I’m sure is the case for many of you.
We’ve all got those gaming memories that mean a lot to us. Things that, as a kid or heck, even as an adolescent or adult, have affected us deeply. It’s these moments that we look back upon with wonder, that make us into who we are as gamers, and captured our hearts forever for this “hobby”. 
So we all know that video game movies tend to suck. We also know that somehow, people keep choosing to make the really crappy ones into movies, rather than games that are actually relevant anymore.
Every year has its ups and downs in the video game world. From console releases, to huge gaming flops, to bad decisions made by silly companies, there are always some great gaming memories to throw down at the end of each year. And as we all know, 2008 was no exception.
Are you ready for the megaton WTF bomb for the day? Possibly even the week? I’m going to have to do it quickly though. It’s kind of like ripping off a band-aid, where it’s best to just do it and get it over with. Ok, well here goes nothing: 
Seriously? I mean, I get it, the Halo franchise is big and all. I understand that people like it, love it even. I fathom the power with which the game can hold you, transfixed upon its HUD. But what I don’t follow is how, with all these great games out, Halo 3 still tops the charts for XBox Live. Here is the list for the past week:
The holidays are approaching, which means that you guys will be playing games until your eyes bleed and your thumbs have blisters. It’s as good a time as any to have a brand new “Would You Rather?” feature at GamerSushi!
Uh, get out your fanboy flame bats once again. We all know that the console wars get a little heated at times, and quotes like this just add fuel to the fire. Apparently, the director of Last Remnant had some pretty interesting things to say about Microsoft’s console:
Little Big Planet, we hardly knew ye. I always wondered if it was such a good idea for Sony to hitch its wagon onto Little Big Planet for the second half of this year. I mean, it was such a unique, different kind of game that it didn’t seem to me that all that many people would really be into it. They kept touting the thing as a console pusher, but I never saw it that way.
