Nintendo, I love you, but you’re killing me, Smalls.
Maybe they just don’t understand the intertubes, or maybe they’re glorious money-grubbing bastards, or maybe they’re a little of column A and a little of column B- but Nintendo’s latest move with its recently re-purposed Nintendo Points cards is a little befuddling.
Basically, if you buy a Nintendo Points card and then use it on your Wii, it then becomes tied to that console. And you only get that one. So your new Nintendo Points are now useless for your DSi. Why did you change the name from Wii Points in the first place, Nintendo?

Once again, Gears of War 2 news is starting to spill out left and right. While the hype for the game is building, I really don’t think it’s seen the stupid-iculous proportions that say, Halo 3 saw (Mountain Dew Master Chief, wtf?).
As you well know, the holiday season is looming, teasing us with its glowing goodness and promise of days off of work and school alike. However, there’s one other thing that the holidays bring to us every year, lumbering towards us like great Godzilla-monsters ready to trample our social lives to ruin: video games.
One of my anticipated games of the Fall/Winter gaming extravaganza is Resistance 2, as I’m sure some of you have guessed. It actually seems like this installment of the franchise will have more of a story to go on, and the gameplay is just looking fantastic.
While it is an unusually slow time for video game news, there is apparently an unending well of information regarding Gears of War 2.
Ok, it’s not really called that, but hey, a man’s got to dream. For those of you that play Halo 3, this will be some rather cool news. And even if you don’t, it’s kind of a crazy step forward in terms of console conline communities go, that you can look forward to seeing in your favorite games down the road.
Got Steam? Like MODs?
Now that Mega Man 9 has landed, it seems like the retro craze is firing up. I was a big fan of the Mega Man series on the original NES, so I’m really pumped to see this one finally out. Like we’ve said before, it seems that some styles of gaming never get old.
The long-rumored (and sort of confirmed by EA) KOTOR MMO has been a thing of legend over the last few months. As a joint venture between LucasArts and Bioware, it’s got fanboys (namely, me) chomping at the bit for any kind of official confirmation or piece of news to show that dear sweet Lord, it is true.
Nothing like a good old fashioned blog war. In case you hadn’t heard,
So a few weeks ago,
Just a quick heads up- for a limited time, it seems that applications are being accepted to be a part of the Resistance 2 beta. If you want to get in on the action before the actual PS3 game ships in November, then this is definitely the way to do it.
