Hilarious Super Mario Bros Show

If you are at all familiar with the Matrix ping-pong video that circulated a million years ago in Internet time, then you should recognize the same style that’s going on in this awesome Super Mario Bros video. GTA IV Machinima: Driving the Airtug

Zachariah Scott from LitFuseFilms posted this on their blog the other day, and I think it’s a cool little preview of what we might start seeing from the machinima community out of GTA IV. The music is fun, and I just love the style of it.

Right now, it’s just a test from them to see what kind of stuff the game is capable of. Hopefully we’ll be seeing more out of those dudes out of this game in the near future. Actually, I know we will.

Prototype Trailer Is Kind of Freaking Sweet

Consider me a little pumped about Prototype, Activision Blizzard’s new open world action game that’s coming in 2009. Basically, you are in a city full of infected people, you have super powers, and the military is hunting you. I mean, if chunking a civilian into a helicopter is wrong, well then… you know the rest. The new Prototype trailer just came out last night, and it ruled me just a little.

LittleBigPlanet Rolled!

If I was really mean, I would say this is something other than what it is: Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up” performed in LittleBigPlanet. Some fun machinima work right there. Since you know what it is, it’s not technically a Rick Roll, right? Right?

Ghostbusters and Final Fantasy: Advent Ghosts

There are lots of things that work when mixed together. Pizzas and being fat. Hamburgers and cheese. Poker and dudes. But Ghostbusters and Final Fantasy 7? I didn’t really expect that. I’m not really sure that it does work, but hey, it’s funny. Love the magazine/newspaper covers littered throughout.

LittleBig Michael Jackson Planet

LittleBigPlanet has been used to make lots of things. Calculators, music composers, wedding proposals and even side scrolling shooters. Apparently, you can also make music videos to Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” and “Thriller”. Yes, there is even some moonwalking. One of the coolest parts of all? The dude that made this actually made it for a machinima class at USC. Good way to make the grade, I guess.

The Metal Gear Solid Cast Improv Therapy

Sounds just as confusing as the plot of MGS4, no? Basically, there is a new video out that features the voice actors of the MGS games (Raiden, Snake, Roy Campbell, Naomi Hunter and Otacon) all doing an improv session. The idea behind the skit is that they can’t separate the game characters from their actual lives.

It’s completely made up on the spot (improv, duh), and is sometimes bizarre and somteimes hilarious. My favorite bits are when David Hayter busts out the Snake voice, and when they jump in with the “Snaaaaaake” bits. Some good stuff, give it a watch.

Kid Gets a Wii, Needs a Slap

Just a warning: watch this at your own risk. You thought the music in that WoW video was bad? Wait til you get a load of this ADHD freak’s screaming about his new Nintendo Wii. I’m not trying to be a grinch, I mean it’s cool that he’s excited. But still.

Major props to Nintendo for keeping the excitement for this going 2 years later. Seriously, I thought it would fade by last Christmas, but I was dead, dead wrong.

The Craft of War: BLIND

So I’m rather impressed after watching this new WoW video. While this isn’t quite machinima (I’m guessing it’s all animated in a program like 3D Max), it’s still the best World of Warcraft video I’ve seen hands down. The animations are gorgeous, and it’s just entertaining to watch. While the music can and does get old, the fight scenes are pretty wicked.

Titled, “The Craft of War: BLIND”. Good stuff.

Halo 3 Mythbusters

I’m sure many of you already know about this series, but I’ve been digging Halo 3 Mythbusters on YouTube for the past few days. In case you’re unaware, it’s a series where myths about Halo 3 matchmaking are either confirmed or busted through a series of tests, just like the show on Discovery.

It’s a pretty fun time, I guess since I’ve been getting back into Halo 3 this week. I know a few weeks ago I made a comment about people having mental deficiencies, but let’s just put that behind us.

Left 4 Dead: Death From Above

Left 4 Dead has sucked away much of my waking life over the last few weeks. The versus mode is intense, addictive and most of all, incredibly fun. While I suck at the hunter, I know that there are quite a few people out there that have mastered the impeccable timing required for the dreaded wall jump of death. This video highlights a dude with what some might call mad skillz.

More Lyrical Madness, This Time With Mega Man 2

Putting lyrics to gaming songs might be one of the greatest new fads. Well, scratch that, it’s not really a fad, but it’s still totally awesome. Here’s another epic entry from brentalfloss, who also made the hilarious Tetris song. In this video, we see Mega Man 2, only with lyrics. He’ll save the effin’ day!

MGS, Meet LBP

So the next update to LittleBigPlanet is going to make the darn sackboys even cuter and way more awesome. A new MGS4 pack is being added, complete with exclamation points, Meryl, and all kinds of other MGS content. There were will even be new story levels, and a paintball gun with which to shoot things. Guess we’ll see lots of sidescrolling shooter levels next. And that’s not a bad thing.

Resident Evil 5- Gameplay in the Refinery

Resident Evil 5 might have some of the best graphics we’ll see this gen. Seriously, the level of detail, the crisp motion blur, all of it comes together to form a stunning picture… of incredible zombie violence. And this is always a good thing. It’s nice to see some more gameplay footage, and not just trailers.

Star Ocean: The Last Hope Trailer

The new Star Ocean: The Last Hope trailer is full of that oh so special JRPG flavor. And I heart it very much for that.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again- they just don’t make JRPGs like they used to, but Star Ocean for the XBox 360 looks to be all kinds of epic, with some sweet graphics, and ridiculously fun looking battles. Plus, there are spaceships. Sign me up!

Mirror’s Edge DLC Trailer is Trippy and Totally Sweet

Not sure how many of you guys have gotten around to playing Mirror’s Edge, but one of the things that I hear a lot is that despite it being a lot of fun, it’s got some flaws. Namely, having to fight with soldiers as well as other crazy ninja parkour dudes, which is just not everyone’s cup of tea.

There is a new trailer out for the Mirror’s Edge DLC, though, that looks to be all of the fun of the actual game, minus the combat. To me, when I see this, I’m like, dang, I’d pay for a game that was just THIS. What do you guys think?
